TI is a very basic sound which is produced with Middle finger on small drum. The Sihai (Black part of drum) is hit with the tip of middle finger which produces a flat sound which is called TI. Index finger remains lifted which hitting the middle of Sihai with the middle. Ring Finger may be lifted of rested depends what kind of Bol is being played. This Bol is very important Bol and it is used in many major compositions of Tabla. A beginner must try to hit hard to get familiar with the Bol. If one keep practicing this Bol one can get familiar within two to three days. Keep working hard and you will become a good Tabla Player.
